A Pup and His Best Friend

Hi, my name is Max.  I am a nine-year-old German Rottweiler.  My life I thought was pretty great a few years ago, but then I discovered something new – a best friend.

Before my best friend came around I thought I was having the time of my life with my parents. I got to sleep all night and take naps all day.  My parents would take me for multiple car rides, play fetch, and feed me endless amounts of food.

Then, my “ideal” life took a turn for the better on October 22nd, 2016.  My best friend was born.  At first, I didn’t know what or who he was.  He just appeared and cried a lot.  My parents started giving him all of their attention and I felt like I was getting left out of family activities.

Once my buddy was able to do things, we started to have a great time.  Sure, I get frustrated and grumpy with him.  Who wouldn’t when someone is constantly throwing toys at you and grabbing you when you are trying to sleep.

But this guy has my back! He shares his meals with me, we blow bubbles together, he even wakes up every morning asking for me, and he starts jumping when I wake him up from his nap. He’s the best friend this old dog could ask for!

I thank my parents every day for bringing home my new best friend.  I wouldn’t want it any other way and I know our bond will grow even stronger. I can’t wait to upgrade from my parent’s bed to my best friend’s bed when he gets his upgrade.
