Family: We’re a family of three, plus our 13-year-old dog. Our daughter Tilly is 2.5 years old. Our dog’s name is Moose. He’s a Jack Russell Terrier-mix.

Job: I’m an independent digital marketer and front-end web developer. I’m also a lifestyle and portrait photographer.

What brought you to Flagstaff: My husband’s job brought us to Flagstaff. Both of us were born and raised in the Valley. After living in Buffalo, NY for four years and loving the community and small-town feel, we knew we wanted to return home to a similar area to establish roots and raise our family.

Early Bird or Night Owl: I’m definitely a night owl over being an early bird. I like to have slow mornings where I can plan and prepare for the day. Otherwise I feel like I’m always running late.

Hobbies: Making portraits, watching hockey and going to games, rock climbing, golf, hiking and spending time outdoors.

Coffee or Tea: Iced coffee and iced tea. My drink of choice is an iced coffee black with two raw sugars or an iced green tea with two raw sugars. I love raw sugar so much that my husband bought me a bulk box from Amazon five years ago as a Christmas gift and I still have more than half of the supply left.

Going back in time, one thing you would tell yourself right before you became a mother: You’re going to love it.

Something you are looking forward to: Seeing Andrew Bird on June 27th in Flagstaff at the amphitheater. We’re big fans of Andrew Bird in our home. (Edit: this happened!) Heading back east for a wedding and a cruise.

Favorite Thing to do in Flagstaff with/without kids: We bring our daughter everywhere with us. We like to do day adventures like hiking a new trail or finding new restaurants to eat at. Recently a lot of our family time has been spent renovating our home with endless trips to Home Depot.

Mom Hack: I’m going to write a separate post about this one, so stay tuned.

The greatest challenge you’ve faced: Finding a balance between being at home with my daughter and working at home. I’m also not very good at making new friends with other moms, so that’s been a challenge at times.

Favorite thing about being a Mom: Knowing that we’re raising a strong, kind, hard working, sweet little human that will make the world a better place.
