Happy 115th Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Theodor Seuss Geisel was born March 2, 1904. His amazing children’s books have become a part of our lives and helped our kids to read. What a better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss than to read his favorite books with your family. Add some themed treats and make it an evening of reading fun.

Have you ever eaten Green Eggs and Ham? Sam I am wants his friend to try them, but he would not eat them in a house or with a mouse, he would not eat them with a goat or on a boat. Will your kids try them? Green eggs are actually easy to make, just add a little of blue food coloring. Don’t try to color the ham, that’s pushing your luck.

Are you a fan of popcorn? You can not Hop on Pop but you can have a snack with Black and Brown. A bowl of popcorn is a perfect snack that will keep those little fingers clean.

Oh, the THINGS You Can Think! is a great way to let your kids imagine up Suessical images and stories. Make your own Dr. Seuss inspired treats using licorice and gummy rings.

Teach your kids to read stories with silly voices, Are You My Mother? gives plenty of opportunities for laughs and giggles.

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is a great excuse to eat gummy fish!

Find a favorite stuffed animal and add some socks while you read Fox in Socks.

The classic story The Cat in the Hat brings that iconic red and white striped hat to mind. Make your own with some sandwich cookies and gummy rings. Use the creme filling to stack the gummy rings. How tall is your hat? Play a game with your kids and see what toys and objects they can balance.

No matter which book you choose, take time to sit down and read with your children.
