A Little About Me: Ashlee

  • Family: I have been married to my wonderful husband, Taylor, for 3 years. I have a 3 year old little boy, Mason, and 11 month old baby girl, Zoie. We also have a 5 year old cat, Chaos, 4 year old Pit bull, Chloe, 1 year old Pit bull/Hound Mix, Korben, and 9 month old Husky/German Shepherd mix, Kimber.
  • Job: I am work from home but also own Southern Mama’s Cleaning.
  • What Brought You to Flagstaff: A whirlwind love for my husband and the feel of home the first time I visited. My husband moved here when he was very young.
  • Early Bird or Night Owl: Night Owl, but not past 10.
  • Hobbies: Horse back riding, hiking with the dogs, taking the kids on new adventures!
  • Favorite Thing to Do with Your Family: I absolutely love to go explore new places and do things we never do with my family.
  • Kids Age Difference: 2 years
  • Coffee or Tea: Coffee
  • Favorite/Least Favorite Household Chore: I love to clean the sink, like actually scrub it and see the shine in it but I hate cleaning it out, as in the dishes.
  • Going Back in Time, One Thing You Would Tell Yourself Right Before You Became a Mother: They will never hound you over how much money you have but if you were there for them when they needed. Spend time with those babies. Don’t work yourself to death, because before you know it they won’t be needing you anymore.
  • Something You are Looking Forward To: Visiting my family in Georgia
  • Favorite Thing to do in Flagstaff with/without kids: Horse back ride in Parks or go on a walk on the many trails
  • Best Mom Hack: Show your toddler how to throw a “spider” on the monster or get a spray bottle with water and show them it is “Monster Spray.”
  • The Greatest Challenge You’ve Faced: Learning self care. I am so wrapped up in what my kids need and what I need to do for them that I don’t tend to my needs or what I need to do for my self.
  • Something You Love About Yourself: I am caring. I am the “mom” friend and I love to cook for everyone as well (even when we are low on food I make sure everyone, including friends, are fed).
  • Favorite Thing About Being a Mom: The way they look at you. The smile they give that tells you that you are doing the best you can and they are happy with that.
